Cards

You can ring my jingle bells

December 1, 2016

Good Morning,

Today, I am sharing a card I created over the weekend using Art Impression Bells Ring Set.  Isn’t this snowman too cute with his shaker bottom.  This stamp set comes with three pieces.  The first is for the main image, the second is for the jingle bell part, the third is a matching die for jingle bell portion.  It was so much fun to bring this guy to life.  Of course, he is colored with Copic markers which means he is stamped on Hammermill #100 cardstock, and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.    When he was all colored up and ready to go, fussy cutting was in order and cleaned up the edges using a black Memento marker.

Copic markers: YR02, YR04, YR16, YR07, C00, C0, R05, R17, R29, R89, G21, G24, G28, E31, E55, E57

Now it was time to figure out what to put him on?  I will be honest and say that I went through at least three different backgrounds before settling on watercolor.  A piece of Arches Hot press watercolor paper was cut using Mama Elephant’s Peek a Frame die.  I spritzed the panel with water and added some Butterfly Wing Blue and Scarlet Vermillon Peerless Water Color until I got the look I wanted.  A little watered down Picket Fence distress paint was splattered on the panel once it was dry.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from MFT stamps.  All of the elements were placed on an A2 card panel made from Neenah Solar White #110.
