Watercolored Snuggle Bunnies

November 29, 2016

Good Morning,
How’s it going for everyone today? Well it’s Tuesday and that means we are a little closer to Friday than when we started. Today I am sharing my card using MFT’s Snuggle Bunnies Stamp and die set and colored using Winsor Newton watercolor markers. This is the first time I have used these markers on paper other than Winsor Newton’s and am pleased with the results. Using archival black ink, I stamped the bunny on Bristol smooth paper. Using a palette, I scribbled a little color down from markers 744, 337, and 231 filling in the bunny using a water brush. While playing, I realized two things, have a thirsty brush and build up color in layers.

Below you can see how you are able to control the color:img_4171

With my bunny colored and dried I used the matching die to release him. I stamped the confetti background stamp from MFT on a piece of Arches watercolor paper using Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Platinum embossing powder. A gradient background using Peerless Watercolor Arbutus Pink is on the heat embossed panel using Peerless water color Arbutus Pink. I cut the speech bubble, and oval shadow from Neenah Radiant White Vellum and “hello” is cut from black cardstock using MFT’s hello die.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an awesome week.
