Birthday Skaters

Yesterday my oldest turned 24.  Wow, where did the time go?  I am blessed because for the most part he has stayed out of trouble and has not caused me anymore grief than what you would expect from someone trying to be independent and not totally ready for it.  Anywho, I made this card for him using the Mama Elephant Skater Kids release special for Simon Says Stamptember event going on now.  The little critters are colored using Copic R20, E41, E43, B93, B97, YG21, YG25, Y15, Y17, YR16, and YR12.  A black Glaze pen was used to darken their eyes and a white gelly roll for adding some detail to their cheeks.  I know the noses are white.  The hills are cut using Mama Elephant Landscape Trio and the background was done with My Favorite Things Blueprints #18 from Lawn Fawn’s Pint Sized Patterns paper.  The mat and speech bubble were cut from some Recollections cardstock.  The entire panel was placed on some craft foam for dimensional.  TIP: Wait until the glossy accents on your balloons are dry before turning it over.  I did not and a little bit of my glossy accents was less than perfect so in comes the felt heart cut using a Lawn Fawn die.  The entire panel was placed on an A2 size piece of Gina K’s Sweet Mango Cardstock.
