Cards

Here comes Peter Cottontail

March 21, 2016

Oh how I have missed creating and posting on my blog.  This weekend I was finally able to have some time to create just to create, I was inspired by The Paper Player’s Challenge this week to create a CAS spring theme card.  I won’t enter my card into the challenge but I do appreciate the prompt.  Nothing screams spring more so than bunnies and Art Impressions has come out with the cutest set of little bunnies and naturally they had to make to my house.

Easter's on it way

I stamped all of my images using Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them with the Copics listed below and fussy cut them out.  For the eggs I took a black marker around the edges so no white was showing.  My card panel is cut at 4.25 by 11 and after I finished my airbrushing I scored at 3 5/8 and 7 3/8.  This left me a little short on the ends, but since it is going to my nephews and they are under the age of 5, I don’t think they will mind it too much.  To airbrush I created a stencil using a MFT grassy die from some scrap cardstock.  I placed my grass stencil where I wanted it on my panel and then airbrushed using a green marker.  My clouds were created using a paper towel, airbrush compressor, and a blue Copic marker.  You can find more information on Jennifer Dove’s blog.

My card was inspired by the Z fold card found on the My Favorite Things March 2016 release printable.

To create this project, I used:

Art Impressions Hoppy Easter Clear Set
Simon Says Stamp 100# cardstock-unsure of color
Hammermill 100# white
Copic friendly ink (Memento used here)
Copic markers: E41, E43, E51, E53, E55, E57, R22, R24, B14, B16, YG03, YG05, YG07, V01, V05, V09, Y15, Y17, W1, W3, B02, choice of green for grass area
Grassy die
Paper towel
Airbrush compressor

Have a wonderful week
