Today the card I’m sharing a watercolor card using Mother’s Penguin from Creative Vision Stamps. This stamp comes in two sizes approximately measuring 2.75 x 4.75 and 1.75 x 3.75. To create this project I used the smaller image of the two.
The penguins are stamped using waterproof Ranger Archival Black on Tim Holtz Watercolor paper. Once stamped they were colored using Winsor & Newton Watercolor markers. I find that when using the markers it is easier to scribble some color on an acrylic block and apply with a waterbrush. If you go direct to paper the color can be very intense and that was not the look I was going for with this. Once the panel was colored and dried it was cut along with the mat using Lifestyle Crafts Rectangle die. The designer paper is BoBunny and the glitter paper is from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment was cut using Simon Says Stamp hello die multiple times, stacked, and then inlaid to give dimension. The snowflakes are cut from the same glitter paper as the mat behind the designer paper using a snowflake cut file from the Silhouette library. Some diamond stickles was used to represent snow under the penguins.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
