So how has your week been so far? Just one more day and then it is the weekend. Today is my last day of work as the family and I are getting out of town for a little while. What are your summer plans? Vacation, Family Reunion, or just create as much as you can when you can? This week’s card is based on this week’s challenge sketch over on Freshly Made Sketches. It is on a A2 size card base made from Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. The designer paper is cut down to 3.5 x 5.5 from Heidi Grace’s Sunshine 6 x 6 paper pack and the black trim around it is cut at 3.75 x 5.5. The tag was cut using Little B’s tag die from some scrap white paper that I had around and am unsure about the brand and stamped with the sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Year Three mini stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The Butterfly is a two piece die cut from My Favorite Things called Flutter of Butterfly’s. The detailed piece I cut from some Recollections black cardstock and the white portion was cut from Hammermill #100. I color the piece of Hammermill by using Gelato flavors Lemon and Bubblegum and a barely damp baby wipe to smooth it all out. The Butterfly is adhered to the tag using a small amount of glossy accents and the wings are held up using Kool Tak clear foam tape. The tag is fixed on the panel using some of the two sided foam tape from Harbor Freight. For the finishing touches I placed a few My Mind’s eye enamel dots and the panel along with some American Crafts twine through the tag. Well that’s it for me today. Here’s to having a wonderful Thursday.
