Joy Clair’s April release contains two everyday stamp sets and two stamp sets from their bible journaling line, Color by Faith!
I decided to make both a bookmark and a card for using the set Lift me up.
For the bookmark I used a cut file from the Silhouette store and resized it to make sure that it would fir the size of the angel in the set. I cut the bookmark out of glossy paper, chipboard, and black cardstock for the backing. Ranger Poppyfield and Butterscotch alcohol ink were used to create the background. I used my MISTI to stamp the angel on the bookmark, making sure to position it exactly where I wanted her before adding ink. Once she was in the right spot I inked her up using Versafine black ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder and heat set and followed the same steps for adding the sentiment. To finish this project adhesive was placed on both sides of the chipboard since it was going in the center and the outer pieces were added and some gold ribbon added to the top.
The second project using the set was created by taking a piece of watercolor paper and spritzing it heavily with water and then some Dylusions spray in Bubblegum Pink and Pure Sunshine. I dried the panel using my heat gun after taking a paper towel along the edges to remove the ink pooling along the edges and cut the panel using a rectangle die once it was completely dry. Using my MISTI again, I placed my angel exactly where I wanted her and then inked her up using Versamark ink and heat set some Liquid Platinum embossing powder over her. Next, I selected three stamps from the set to create my sentiment. I placed them on my project clean so I can decide where they should go and once I was happy with their placement I covered up the center stamp using some paper tape and inked up the other two using memories black ink. I removed those two stamps leaving just the center one and stamped that using a red ink. Once completely satisfied with my panel it was placed on some silver embossed cardstock cut to give a slight border around the panel and then that was placed on an A2 size card panel. ***Hint-Use heavy duty adhesive for the watercolor panel***
