Cards Challenge

Days 1-4 of the 30-Day Coloring Challenge

March 5, 2017

Good Morning,

Yesterday I mentioned I was going to give it a go at completing the 30-Day coloring Challenge.  If you want to know more about it go here.

To make things easy in viewing my projects, I figured I would do a small gallery.

Day 1-

Here is Tim Holtz’s Schoolhouse Blueprint apple stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on some Hammermill cardstock.  Instead of marker coloring it is colored with Barn Door, Fired Brick, Twisted Citron, and Lucky Clover Distress inks.  A piece of My Favorite Things Kraft cardstock was cut down to 4.25 and My Favorite Things Geometric Grid was stamped using WPlus 9’s Coconut Husk ink.  A piece of French Industrial cardstock was cut down to fit and distressed on the edges and a sentiment from Crazy Talk was added.

Day 2-

On a piece of Montvale watercolor paper and using Archival black ink the ladies from Art Impressions Live, Laugh, Love stamp set were placed.  They are colored using Mozart water brush pens using the palette method.  Some glossy accents are added to the glasses and some white enamel accents for the pearl earring.  Using Blueprints #29 the watercolor paper was cut down, a piece of black cardstock was used for a mat and that was all placed on a piece of My Favorite Things Pure Plum cardstock.

Day 3-

Here My Favorite Things Stitched Rainbow Die and clouds are the star of the show.  The rainbow is colored using Copic markers.  The focal panel is a piece of Hammermill cardstock with clouds inked using Peacock Feather Distress ink over a piece of acetate cut using Mama Elephants clouds from their Landscape Trio die.  The sentiment is stamped using Versafine black and then mounted on a piece of Gina K’s Ocean Mist cardstock.

Day 4-

Clearly Besotted Flowers are stamped for this project on some Hammermill #100 cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Before coloring the flowers, I used a YR04 marker, colorless blender, and a piece of denim to create the background.  Next, the flowers were colored with Copic markers and then the panel was die cut using Mama Elephant’s Index Card die.  For a little extra detail a white Sharpie paint pen was used to add white to the Stamens and some white decoart paint was used for the splatters.  Also, Spiced Marmalade was added around the edges to eliminate the white dead space.  The focal panel was then attached to a piece of Gina K’s Grass Green cardstock and trimmed using a Perfect Layers ruler.  This step was repeated to add a piece of Black Onyx to the panel.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Grateful for You set, stamped on a piece of vellum in Black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by,
