Bring in the Clown

Bring in the Clowns
Here is the larger clown image to the one shared earlier in the post Three’s a Crowd.  The image is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored with copic markers.  To give her some texture I used Stardust stickles to fill in all the circles on her hat and pants along with some yellow flocking powder for the pomp oms.  Her eyes are colored in with the Sakura Black glaze pen and her nose was done with a gold Viva Pearl Pen.  The Big Stitched and Pierced Rectangles By Diezynes was used to cut her out along with the Doodlebug designer paper behind the red panel of Recollections Jewel tones.  The three balloons were punched from some scrap paper using Martha Stewart’s balloon punch, distressed using Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters, faded jeans and strung with some embroidery floss.  The two hearts were punched using recollections mini heart punch and attached to the string.  Gina K Sweet Mango was used for the card base.

This is such a sweet and colorful card. 🙂 Your coloring on the previous one was great too. This is what all clowns should look like, then nobody would be afraid of them… I never really got that, being afraid of clowns, but I guess that’s the thing with fear there isn’t necessarily an explanation. Here’s one for you though: a past co-worker of mine has a fear of balloons. Yup, I thought that was pretty funny but tried not to poke fun of it. And then one year the birthday card they circulated at work for her, for everybody to sign had a bouquet of balloons on it. I ran to the person who sends the cards around each month and asked her if it was a joke… she had totally forgotten! Needless to say that card got scrapped, LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by Kim and oh my goodness that was such a good catch on your part with the coworkers card. That would have been a very awkward reveal if she would have opened it. I hope everything is going well and this holiday season is full of joy for you and yours; just in case we don’t talk before then:-).
